The blackest depression hung on me for a few years, but in Nov. I had a med change and it lifted. 6 mos ago I started going to the gym everyday and taking a swim 2x a week. I was doing well and slimming down. Then last week it dropped down again. I've been in my pj's for 4 days. I keep trying to figure out if I'm sick, or if I got too much sun...etc. I'm hibernating, sleeping and moving very slow. Not attending to my responsibilities at all. I just started a new T last week, so I can't call, not even sure I can tell him yet. I really don't want this starting up again, I feel so alone.

You're not alone here. I'm sorry that you are feeling this way. How have you coped in the past? Can you talk to your doctor about how things are for you? I hope that you feel better soon. Take care.

don't you get sick of trying to hide it? I hate pretending, I just want to tell the world "IT'S BLACK". People don't understand. If you say you're down they don't want to be near you. I was going to call my pdoc, but I really don't want a med change...I mean the current cocktail has been working so well....it took forever to find the right combo. I don't want to be in this place again, it is really hard on hubby and kids. I can't put them thru it again. I keep thinking if I get off my butt and go work out it will be better, but the willpower just isn't there. My oldest daughter is coming home for a few days with my grandson next week...I HAVE to get it together by then, I CANNOT be a depressed grandma.

Depression has no ears to hear us tell it to go away. Doesn't care that your meds were working...making a happy face doesn't work. This is a real illness that needs attention. Please go see your pdoc...
