I am new, I am exactly where you are except I have NOT eaten in days. I wish some one could talk with you, give you a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear. If I could, I would because we would both know we truly are not alone. May I suggest one thing? It will sound corny but I do this some times to let my pain out privately. Make a very warm bubble bath, use candles for light and listen to a soothing CD that will make you cry and allow the pain to release just a little, and when you are done take a nap in your favorite P.J's or watch a movie......anything. I don't know if this is allowed since I am a newbie but you can email me or send me a private message if you like. I promise every thing you may say will be forever kept private.

Please, hang on. I am trying as well.
Thanks for this!

Hi Alisa. I'm sorry you are going through such a terrible time.

When you say your doctor won't help, what do you mean? Won't see you? Doesn't understand the issue? Is this a mental health provider or just your general practitioner? If your doctor won't help, maybe you should try another doctor.

By the way, you have a lot of people you can ask for help. You have just reached out to a multitude of people who have, or are going through, what you just described. Also, a lot of cities have phone numbers to counselors who work at crisis centers. I have found sometimes its easier to talk to a stranger on the phone about your problems because they don't know you and don't have preconceived ideas about your situation.

I sure hope your situation gets better soon.

Hugs
Thanks for this!

Hi Alisa! Welcome. I'm really sorry things are so bad. Well done for reaching out here. The others have already made excellent suggestions. Please do get some help in real life as they have suggested. If the worst comes to the worst you can go to the ER. Let us know how you get on. Really hope you feel better soon

dear Alisa,, you can call your local health department, they have case managers who must help you,, or there is Adult Protective Services, in the Health and Human Services (Social Services) Department who can come to your home and transport you to the doc or ER, or even to the psych hospital. i hope you get help soon~! If you feel that you're in danger of harming yourself, please get to your closest ER right away. Print out your post and bring it with you if you're having a hard time explaining how you feel. There are people who can help.

Alisa9,
It sounds like you are going through a really difficult time right now. Just to echo what has already been said, I hope that you can find ways to get some support right now. Call a crisis line if you need to, or go to the emergency room. Does your community have a mental health agency? They might be able to connect you with a therapist or doctor. You said that you were feeling suicidal and that you hadn't eaten for three days... there's some urgency here to get help fast. You don't have to face this alone. I'm glad you posted here. Keep posting, and let us know how you are doing.

peace,
garden gal

Hang on, Alisa!!! The "pit" is scary, but just turn away from it...pray hard, find ONE person you can confide in...do NOT go into the pit!
I'm praying for you...
