I feel like everything is pointless. No matter how hard I try it is never enough. I've worked so hard to try and keep myself for feeling that I have to be perfect all the time, and now everyone else wants me to be perfect all the time. It's like I can't win. It all just feels so pointless.

I understand what you are going through. Even though I have been on disability for 3 years and have lost a lot of who I was, my family still expects me to have the answers to all their questions. Each time I can't answer a question I feel just a little smaller and dumber. ![]()

(((googley))) I am sorry that everyone is being so tough on you. That sounds unfair. Do your best and ignore those that demand more than that. Know that you have a support of everyone here at PC.

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction! ---"Address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society". Abraham Lincoln Online. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. September 30, 1859. |

![]() I don't how much energy depression has left you, Googley. I hope you've sufficient psychic reserves to launch an offensive of your own. If you're an unhappy consumer of academic services, complain to the higher-ups, and make sure Public/Alumni Relations knows, too. At the very least, you can warn your peers: Rate My Professors
