Its the anniversary of My dad passing away today, I really hate this day and am so sad, even after all these yrs, it never gets easier, Can I have a Hug?

In some ways it's kinda nice that you know the day that your father died. There was so much trauma that I went through at the end of my Mothers life & I even ended up in & out of the medical hospital because of it & the huge loss of weight that it caused me that I only remember that she died a couple of hours after I went back into the hospital & have no idea what day in January it actually was. Remember the exact dates of the abuse that happened because of dealing with the police, but by the time she died of the cancer, I had no idea of what day it was anymore.....it's all just one huge blur....it seems like it would be kinda nice to have the memory that you have even though I know how hard it is

My heartfelt prayers and hugs go out to you. February 22 was the 6th anniversary of my mother's passing. I know it is a very hard time to be going through. All the memories come flooding back. The dreams that you wanted to share and the goals that you wanted accomplish together are on your mind. Remember you parents love you. Take care of yourself. Treat yourself to an activity that will be relaxing for you.

I completely know what you mean, FeelingHopeful. When I must face these dates every year, I don't always know how I'll react. There have been times I've totally hidden away if I wasn't otherwise obligated, and pored over memories and cried for hours. In other instances, I've forced myself to be around people at work or wherever, and I was very grateful for their presence and the distractions, only to go home later that evening and light a candle and cry. The point is, dealing with this type of loss is always difficult, no matter how I attempt to prepare myself (or not).
My heart goes out to you. I am sending you as many hugs as you can stand, and keeping you in my thoughts. All the best to you.

Bless your heart ~~ I hate anniversaries.
I know exactly how you feel. The anniversary of my husband's death is coming up in a few days. so I can understand.My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm so sorry you lost your dear Dad. I know how hard that is. God bless you. Hugs, Lee
