I joined this forum a while ago but haven't really posted. Probably a few reasons why but tonight is different. Today has encapsulated the changes in emotions that I normally feel over weeks in just 24 hours. I have gone from fairly low, to satisfied, to frustrated, to laughing to rock bottom and unable to sleep.

I am now looking out the window with my family asleep in their bedrooms thinking how I can just get away from everything. The thing is there isn't a part of my life that I am happy with at the moment, not work, not home, not friends.

I don't want to give up and let everyone down as leaving things behind would cause huge pain and disruption and I love my kids. But I am not happy with my life and it is eating me up.

thanks for coming here. I just came back to PC after being away for a few months. I hope that you find some comfort here. For me it's nice knowing that other people are going through similar things sometimes to what I go through. It makes me feel less alone.

I too feel like I need to get away from things. I have a lot of frustrations at work, in my social life, and so on...I just found a new therapist this week that I like so I think i'm going to start going to therapy again.

Do you have anyone that you can talk to about all of this?

Glad you posted. Hope things go better for you soon. Know there is always someone here who will listen. Most of us have similar troubles with emotions at least, even if our situations are different. No judging here, just compassion and caring. Let us know if there is anything specific with which we can help, okay?

This may seem a little trite, but what are you doing to care of yourself? Please take some "me" time to sooth your inner soul. Go for a walk, play basketball, work in the yard, anything. You care about your family right now and seem to be under some unforeseen stress. Life can change and for the better. It just takes small steps. I hate when therapists ask this question, but am going to ask anyway because it is a place to start or at last dream. If you had a magic wand, what would a perfect life be like for you? Dreaming is the first step in becoming. Hang in there and keep talking.
