I'm just having a really bad day. No money, and my son has been a huge PITA all day, not listening whatsoever, just doint whatever he wants. And then, while he was supposed to sit at the table and finish his dinner (everyone else was done, he takes FOREVER), I was putting the little one to bed, and I heard the older one running down the hallway. When I came out I smelled lemon. Well, it turned out that my son had sprayed our two cats with furniture polish, chasing them down the hallway. Of course he tried to deny it and lie about it, but there was no denying it. he always does stuff like that. Has been for a long time. I told him if he does something like that again, the cats are gone. I can't have him constantly mistreating the cats. If he can't treat them right, then they'd be better off somewhere else. He's 8, he knows better.

I'm just really down tonight, it just was an all around bad day. I feel like crying.

And just now he was shooting our old dog with his NERF gun, going "GOTCHA!".

And on top of everything else, my food processor broke today. My husband got that for me as a present last year. I'm really upset about this.

yes, next friday is my husband's first regular paycheck. but we have a lot of bills to catch up on. i'm hoping the tax check will get here this week.

I don't know how I'd deal with this. Have you ever considered taking you son to a school counselor or anything? I don't know much about child therapy but there might be more going on than just the normal 'I'm a kid I"m hyper" thing... because these are living breathing beings and there seems to be a disconnect.

I'm sorry about the food processor. Maybe your hubby can get you another one sometime soon?

he already is in therapy. he sees both the school psychologist and a regular therapist. he's been doing the animal thing for years. i need to tell his therapist that that is something they really need to work on.

he seems to really love the cats, they sleep in his bed at night, and he always says how much he loves them. i don't know how to get it into his head that animal cruelty is not a fun thing. he always thinks those things are funny. there's just a lack of empathy there.

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're going through. And as an animal lover, I agree that it's really important to tell the counselor, and to keep the animals safe. That sort of cruelty is a very big red flag. I hope that I don't sound judgmental. I don't mean to be at all.

another bad day. cats shredded my VERY old sheet music (i play the piano). it's irreplaceable. and the chopin i was working on.

you got to be effing kidding me. now my new babysitter, who was supposed to start this morning because i have an appt with my t, sent me an email this morning informing me that she took another job and won't be able to work for me. just left me hanging. just like that. now i have to take my son with me to my t appt, which is great, because he gets bored and pretty disruptive. another 15 minute appt.

can i catch a break every now and then? what else is going to go wrong??

Hang in there..I was kinda where you are now and it wasn't fun. I dealt with major depression and my daughter at 12 was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. It was rough but I survived. Hope today gets better. Sounds like it should not get any worse!!!. You got some good advice from the other posts. I hope that has helped you!!

and, now the girl that was supposed to come this afternoon to interview didn't show up. no notice, nothing. just didn't show up.

i'm so frustrated right now. i don't know who to trust anymore. it's just been another sucky day.
