that is what the therapist is for.......to help you..There is no way a therapist can help without knowing what is going on in your head. You pay this person to help you. You must also have faith in them that they will listen and care enough to help you in any way possible. Sometimes we have to allow someone to help!...and its o.k.

If you have trouble talking, you can always jot down a few things and give it to your T to read. Then your T can ask you questions you can answer about it, which might be easier than having to blurt everything out unprompted. Therapists are great about maintaining your confidentiality--they know that is important. They are there for you, to help you! Do take a step and let them into your world. I think it will help. Sending you a hug!

When we are severly depressed, it takes a long while, weeks or months sometimes, to begin to feel better. Please don't despair--things WILL brighten for you, I'm sure. And don't be afraid to call a hotline if you reach a really bad point and can't talk to your therapist. They can be very helpful.

I hope that you are doing well now. I suffered with depression, and worked with a counselor and a psychiatrist, but I still do not feel excited about life. I have improved and I don't have a problem waking up and getting the day started, but I don't have any thing to look forward to and life doesn't hold any excitement.

I'm not sure how to turn it around.

Whenever I've gone off meds (anti-depressants) in the past, even though they didn't work that well, the rebound effect was awful. I don't know if this is part of what's going on for you. What was the reason that you discontinued your meds? I hope that you continue to open up to your therapist. I've had to call a crisis hotline 4 or 5 times over the past few months. I hope that things get better for you soon.
