...I am very lonely. All I ever wanted was a frequent e-pen pal but for some reason I can't keep one, I have tried for 2 years to find one but they end up leaving me for "better". I was told that I am too sweet, so maybe they don't like me cause of that.
So my question is why go on living? Really what's the point? I read that humans were designed to be social. And I tried everything to have a friend, just one friend to talk to daily, but some how they don't want to be my friend maybe they find better, I don't know, it must be me.
I want to be gone. I am so mad at God for not taking me. I take up space on this planet. I don't want to be here if I can't make a one simple friend, I am in my 30s and I can't keep a friend. I have more stuffed animal friends than real friends.
What's the use on living? I don't get it, seriously I don't get why God has me here on this earth. Rejection hurts me deeply!

It's probably not you. It's probably them. Please, stay strong. Things get better, I was in your situation a while ago but I found someone who has pretty much saved my life. I know it doesnt seem like it now, but things DO get better. Even just a little bit.

Clouds_and_sun, there could be many many reasons that these relationships are not working. For one thing, it may be hard to keep up an e mail friendship for people who prefer socializing differently. And there are lots of other possible reasons. Perhaps you can find a therapist to work with, and to discuss your social interactions with? Beating up on yourself isn't going to help; it will only make you feel worse and withdraw more. Most depressed people (including me, much of the time) think there is something essentially flawed about them - but that is the illness talking...

If your friends traded you in for "better" friends then you are better off without them. Keep in mind...to have a good friend you must be a good friend. Don't give up. There is someone (maybe many someones) out there looking for a friend just like you

i have more stuffed animals than i do friends too....dont worry. people are busy, and you may be intimidating or really shy (idk cuz i dont know you) so it can be hard to make friends. real friends stick by you. its their fault, not yours. i'll be your friend
