Life is full of meaningless pain and there is no end in sight.

Nothing matters and nothing is real. I feel rather transparent.

Depression is having the worse sickness that you have ever had in your life, with all its pain, causing fatigue and uselessness, making you find a hole to climb into to avoid people around you as they enjoy activities that you know you cannot. Depression is like having to pull a large clothes locker around with you everywhere you go and nobody can help you carry it around because they can't see it.

Depression is like a chisel that hammers away at your entity.
Depression is wandering through the most stagnant of mud, becoming weary, but knowing that if you lose your momentum, you won't be able to start again.
Depression is not neat. It is the monster that hides deep within us, who tries with all its might to break us.

I like your comical aspect toward depression wackywidow I think that is a good way to look at it and yet make fun of it in a way too.

Depression is when you finally get the shower in you've been putting off and then you go to step out and there are now towels in sight.

I think we all need to look at some common mistakes we all make or see done. We need to laugh at ourselves again. It is the best medicine in the world. I hope others see it that way and to themselves. It is my only way I canto others. Depression is manageable if we can laugh when we feel like crying! Again, for the thread ... the idea was yours.

Depression is living in a fog without fog lights, or horns. And 1/2 the time you are driving a boat at night.

Depression is... getting up to go into another room and forgetting why you went there, then having to sit down because the whole thing was just exhausting.

(Sometimes I can't tell if it's depression, or just god's experiment of putting an 80 year old in my 30 year old body).
