This year is starting off with a very large problem...

My darling husband lost his job due to they are getting rid of his postion and adding it to the current sales mangers that hey hired two months ago.

This lady has no freaking clue what to do at the front desk, but they fired him anyway.. I would have had him train her before going and doing what they did. But I quess since they think they can save money by downsizing his job and making someone do it that has no clue.. oh well.

the only up side is he got a servenca package along with it, but nothin else..

Life sucks at times.. and right now mine really does..

Darkness is closing in on my yet again.. I hate this

How's the employment situation in your city? Are there jobs available? What's your most realistic guess as to how quickly he should be able to find something?

He's very lucky he has YOU, LadyD...

I'm so sorry to hear that. It seems so heartless for companies to do most of their laying off at this time of year. Hang in there.

Hang in there. I'm here for you.

In this area the job market he was in is not in very good shape.. His postion was intergrated into the sales manger postion..

He does qualify for unemployment but we do not know when he can appy with the serviance package neither of us have ever dealt what that before..
I am in the process calling my Case worker at the Carerre Center her in Spfld to see what I can do to help him out. .. .

Things are not as bad as I thought they were, his old emplyoer is going to write him a letter of recomendation so he can find a good job. and they will also help him with any type of hotel job he finds..

So they did not really want to get rid of him, just could not see demoting him and others getting along with him as a peer again when he used to be a manger???

Things will work out I hope.. That is all I can tell myself right now..

Aw this is tough news! Well, maybe he can take a few days off and rest and gear up for looking around. This is a common happening more and more these days, but I don't think not being alone in this really helps anyone feel better. my husband lost his job today Keep your chin up as long as you can ((hugs))

((((((((((Lady)))))))))))) so sorry to hear that. What was he a sales manager of? It's a good idea to talk to your case worker and see what can be done. Also, check the government's website to find out how to go about getting unemployment.

Will be thinking of you and your hubby.
