Yes, it sucks HARD!!!

It's what keeps me from holding a job lately...I just can't seem to think anymore.

<font color="purple">((((((((skittles)))))))))) I wish I could make it stop for you. I know how much it bites to have a racing mind. I have found that if I write during those moments, no matter how jumbled it seems, that I learn something new about myself and opens up some truth in me. It can be difficult to read after you write though... but it is a suggestion ..... Some other things that sometimes help me get thru these moments are:
1. listening to a cd/tape of ocean waves, most often when I do this I relax and the thoughts slow down
2. a warm/hot bath, lights dimmed or even aroma therapy candles
3. Sometimes I have to do the opposite, loud up beat music and speed dance

Again just ideas... They dont always work, but it is nice when they do... Hang in there. We care about you.

Melinda is right. Those CD's of gentle Ocean sounds and peaceful noises help tremendously. I remember listening to them alot when I couldnt get my mind to slow down from the racing thoughts.
They have a wonderful collection of these CD's at Target. They are pretty reasonable in price also. Anywhere from 4.99 to 10.99. I bought 7-8 I think.

Nice hot baths are also nice, but, I have to say, the bath part is relaxing but the silence was not. I usually played a calming CD in there too. It was when things were silent that got to me really bad.

I hope you get some relief soon. I know how horrible this is for you. Please post as often as you need to. We are here for you.

Sorry you are struggling with the racing thoughts right now. Have you thought of maybe writing them down or when one thought comes think about it, and if another thought tries to enter just try to refocus on the previous thought? I don't know...it might help some.

I feel for you. I'm lucky I always get racing thoughts for very short periods of time. So, I can't even imagine what it is like for you. Hang in there. I suspect the writing/listen to sootheing music might help.
