I shouldn't feel lonely as I have kids and a husband who I love to bits but yet I still feel lonely, I hardly have any friends who I can talk to. It has taken me a long time to admit that I do feel lonely.

I would like a friend who I can talk to now and then but I don't have that.

Depression is an illness of illogicalities. There is no "should" or "shouldn't"; you feel lonely. It's a symptom. It's an unpleasant symptom.

Needing someone other than your children or husband seems entirely reasonable to me -- you are more than "mother" and "spouse." I'm sure people here -- who aren't recluses like me -- will have ideas for you.

I relate completely. I also have a husband and son whom I love dearly and desperately but hubby is off living his own life which largely excludes me. I don't have friends of my own and I don't drive. I am pretty isolated. I am so lonely too. Please, please PM me if you ever need to talk.

to you.

Thank you both so much.

Sabrina, I am sorry that you feel this way too it is an awful feeling, I sometimes feel guilty feeling this way, I wish I had friends who I can talk to but I don't go out to make them.
Thanks for this!
