for feeling good. How ridiculous is that?

Meds have been dialed in. I'm eating right, I'm exercising, I'm losing excess weight, I'm being a productive worker, I'm not irritable, I'm more patient with the kids. (House is still a mess though). My T and I are even ready to end our sessions after my recheck with my prescribing doc and T on Tuesday.

But I feel bad when I come in here because I'm in remission at the moment. When someone's in the depths of their depression, doesn't want to take meds, doesn't want to see a T, the last thing they want to hear (seemingly) is that's exactly what they need to do to get better. And that's pretty much all I can offer at the moment.
kinda feeling guilty....

I have been in remission and medication free for quite a few months now. I still have very dark days and moments though. I also feel guilty about it sometimes. And I often feel that I don't offer enough support.

I am so happy you are feeling good!

Thanks Sabrina. Figures you'd understand. We're like two peas in a pod sometimes. kinda feeling guilty....

I should look at it from my kids' point of view. I'm sure THEY'RE not guilty about me feeling better. I'm even taking them and two friends on a 3-hour drive next week to spend two days at an indoor water park. Four hyped up kids in a hotel room. Eeeeeeek!!! Man, I wish I had a mini van that they could stretch out in for the ride, but I'm not about to pay rental fees. kinda feeling guilty....

i have personally watched you grow and change, shirley, since you first came here. you were down and out and saw no future for yourself. at least not a happy future. i think it is grand that you're doing well and i don't want you to feel guilty about it. advising someone to do something that you've done, with good results, is a blessing, not a curse. xoxoxo pat

I think it is wonderful you are feeling good. Hopefully it is some encouragement to others that things can get better. I think you are helping others more than you think. I am happy for you. kinda feeling guilty.... kinda feeling guilty.... kinda feeling guilty....
