Hello, and thank you for your replys and comments to my post.Thank you for your prayers and I ask that you please keep me in your prayers in the future. I lost my son July 16 this year, he would have ben 3 years old on Aug. 23. His name was Angel, I have put my link to his pictures on my profile, so I can share his beautiful perfect smile with everyone. Well, I have been having problems getting over his passing. I always thought that if I ever lost him, then I couldnt live with my self, but the problem is, I cant even grieve. I am thinking that maybe part of the reason for that, is because I was not with him at the time he passed. They had to take him to the hospital in an ambulance, and they wouldnt let me go with them. I had to hear from someone else about my sons death. I believe that maybe I could ...um, well greive more, I just dunno. Anyway, I am rambling here, I just wanted to share some of my feelings, and hope to get some insight and advice, please. And, um, well, I have not been able to get professional help, for one, I am not in the financial ability to get help, and two, I dont know exactly how to get help. Thank you for reading this, and please, if you can, help me understand what I am feeling, or why I am not feeling anything. Sherry

Sherry, I think you are still in shock, that's why you don't feel like you are grieving... but you are... in your own way. When I lost someone very dear to me, I didn't think that I grieved either. I couldn't cry. My mother once told me that sometimes pain can be so deep and so powerful that it goes beyond tears.
Hang in there. Grief is a long process. Have you tried looking for websites that deal with death and grief? I'm sure you would find a lot of help and answers there. In the meantime, keep posting, ok?

Hello Sherry and Welcome to the site. I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. Have you heard of 'compassionate friends.' It's a grief group for parents who have lost children. See, http://www.compassionatefriends.com. You may also want to check out www.groww.com, which is a really good, 24 hour, grief site. Again, my sincerest condolences. Warmest regards, Peanut

Hello again...
I'v never lost a child shelley, but I have lost a close friend of mine recently in my arms about two years ago. I'm not a professional although I might think so in my itty bitty head. But I believe everyone grieves differantly. when he died I grieved in a way I'v never grieved before and to this day am still trying to cope with. My friend who's husband passed away didn't grieve up untill recently & it's been two years. a little over. I'm sure that u are grieving, but it still hasn't hit you completely... I'm sure the pain is so unbearable... you are in ym prayers like I said before... my heart goes out to you & your family... Praying all is well...
