Right now, I do not feel depressed, but I know it will come back, so I have to make a plan to improve my mental health, since I'm aware that it's cyclical, and depression won't stop recurring alone.
So, what do you do, when you are not in a crisis, but you have depression, you admit that you have a problem, and are willing to work on it? |

do the things you enjoy and enjoy the things you cant when depressed.... do you have triggers that you are aware of that trigger your depression? or small symptoms you get days weeks or maybe even months before depression episode happens, if so and you are aware of them, the best thing i can recommend is early intervention, in your lucky enough to live in an area where wait lists are not too long you might even get things taken care of and reversed before you have a full blown episode...

Nice advise, I never thought there were early symptoms, that indeed help me predict what is coming at me. That will make me react before any crisis.

I usually try to distract myself or surround myself with people. Doesn't necessarily always work but usually at least helps a little bit.
