I hear you. I don't have much to say to help you, but I know what you mean. Even when I do go do stuff with people, the sadness, blame, etc. is right back in place as soon as I'm driving home. I'm hoping this wears off over time, but that's just a hope.
Can you try the counseling, medication stuff. On tv they say it helps. I find it hard to even talk with someone close because they're so nice to be nice to me & I don't want to dump on them. Hang in there, bagged. You're not alone, and you can always come here to chat.

They can tell you lots of stuff that helps. They can help you reframe automatic negative thoughts & figure out the different perception biases that are influencing you (i.e: catastrophising, what-if thinking etc). But you've got to be willing to @ least try it. And that's up to you.

I agree, therapy can do a lot of things for you. First, it is a place where you can talk freely and maybe begin to understand why you are feeling this way. You can also work through things, come up with solutions, look at things from a different perspective... I could go on. Therapy has made my life much better over the years. You of course get to make the decision, I just thought I would offer my opinion about what therapy can do for you. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Yep, try to socialize and bee with people you don’t know, just like being a volunteer on a charitable deed. Sometime, it is better to have some diversion and do things that will make you forget about the depression.

I agree with what everyone else has been saying. I wouldn't write off therapy until you've tried it. You might think that they can't tell you anything you don't know but they are there to listen to you and do a good job of bringing up issues you may not have even been aware of. Give it a shot if you can't figure it out on your own, it can't hurt. Feel better.

Yes, I agree with what everyone is saying too. You'r here right? That means you are willing to speak out and ask for help and that's Excellent! It's the first step my friend, like with all things delicate that deal with the heart and mind, you need to take baby steps. This is one step. Going to see a therapist is a little bigger step. That's all. One thing at a time.
Keep posting though! Whatever you are feeling no matter how small and trivial. We are all here to listen. Good luck! ![]()
