Hi Rainecloud,
I have chronic recurrent depression and find that I get flare ups more often as I get older than when I was younger. Are u still on medication? perhaps it needs to be changed. I know for myself, I need to change AD's every year because they usually stop working. I have never been off medication, I am 50 and was diagnosed when I was 15. Maybe you need to get back into therapy if you are not already going. I hope you feel better soon.

I think if it was as simple as changing our minds, then we wouldn't be here. Sorry you are feeling this way...Sending you kind thoughts that it will get even just a bit better today.

What great words! I will just have to second that. (and keep it in mind for myself as I am lurking today) But seriously, I hope that things will get better for you. ![]()

Hi Rainecloud ~ I'm so sorry this nasty depression has decided to attack again. It's miserable.
![]() I wonder if you've had a "bit" of it all along, but it just really POUNCED on you severely now and made you take notice! ![]() ![]() I don't have any friends either, the crumbs. LOL I guess they don't like hanging around someone who has a mental illness - they might "catch it." LOL People are ignorant. Anyway, I'm glad you are seeing someone for this, as it's important that we get therapy to work things out! God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee |

Sorry the depression is getting the best of you. But, if you keep on working at it you can come out of the hole so to speak. And yeah, definitely don't get wrapped up into thinking it's "just in your head". It's more than that.
My advice to you would be to use an outlet of sorts as you try to figure things out. Sticking around these forums might also be a good idea for you in order to try to feel more connected with others. I haven't been on these forums too much but as you can see the people here are very helpful and respectful. Sometimes just knowing that there are others struggling along with you gives you something to latch on to. |

Always be on guard as it can pop up its ugly head anytime. My teenage son has had depression since the age of 7....Now almost 18. It is very frustrating as things are going well then all of a sudden the sadness and heaviness comes back with full strength. Don't give up but always be prepared to fight the darkness.
