confused about life

I am a college student, I am quite busy and live away from home 8 months out of the year. My family is not too fond of me, and they let me know it. I have just become very depressed and feel alone. I do not know how to have a love life, I have always had so much anxiety and fear growing up about upsetting people and trying to get approval from my family that any sort of love life was not even thought of, I don't even know how to act when a cute guy comes around. I just feel like if I don't have a love life ever, I will be alone. I also feel as my family doesn't approve of anything I do, no one ever will want to love me. I feel so alone.

Hello kelstar19....Welcome and thanks for posting. I'm so sorry that you're feeling alone....that's never an easy way to feel. Are you seeing a therapist. or have you seen one in the past? It sounds like you have a lot of things to deal with, including some issues with your family, which is always difficult. If you haven't seen someone you can talk to, I hope you will in the future. You don't mention this. but have you been diagnosed with depression by a physician or another health care professional ~psychologist? Take care and I hope you'll keep posting and letting us know how you're doing.....

Hey, I know what that's like... but you said that to me earlier... I can't seem to see myself with a cute girl in the future... I am so paranoid that my family will be disappointed in what I do, I also feel like everything I do is not to their approval... Oh, and thanks for the message you posted on my thread.
