So yeah It's 12:15pm lay in bed on my day off, its taken me 4 hours to convince myself to get out of bed. This is one of my major causes of depression a trigger so to speak, anyone else have this? If so just getting up and running to the shower doesn't work. It's like im scared of getting up early

Do you have ANY idea why you might be scared of getting up early? Is it dark when you get up early? If it is, does the dark bother you?

Do you feel like you're the only on up at that time of the morning? That's a lonely feeling.

Have you tried to figure out what makes you scared of gettng up early?

Do you see a therapist? If you do, you should talk to him about this. If you don't perhaps you should talk to one, huh? Sounds like you have some issues that need takiing care of.

Best of luck -- I hope you can get things figured out. Let us know when you do, okay? Hugs, Lee

Yes, I have it. Though for me it's not a trigger for depression, it's a by-product. I often don't want to get out of bed in the morning because I don't want to face the day, and my depression is almost always worse in the morning.

I don't really have any solution, just that I make myself get out if bed because I usually feel worse if I don't.

Like Rachel, I simply don't want to face the day. I start work at 7:30, and I have to set up at least 6 or 7 different alarms, the first of which is at 4:15. I'm not kidding. I finally get up at about 5:30 to start getting ready for work. It's not just you.

But I think that your choice of words is interesting. That you feel as if you are almost scared of getting up early. For me, the longer that I am awake, the more opportunity there is to feel miserable. (I.e., if I am asleep longer, then I won't have to feel that way, that's why it's better to sleep the day away.) As Leed has said, you should bring this up to your T if you see one. Please feel free to keep posting. We get it, trust me.
