I'm coping badly. I can't function in this--it's changed too much. I feel like I'm living on the moon. Moral squalor. I can't live in this. And I have no one to talk to and no medications. I don't understand why it has to be like this--constantly surrounded on all times by sex, drunks, and druggies. What happened? What the hell happened? Everyone's sick in one way or another, and it's got to be shoved in my face from every direction every waking minute of every day. This is a life?

Hi...thanks for your post. Is this a situation you are literally living in, that you can't move from? Or is it the things you see and hear on media? If it's what is outside your own walls that is bothering you, best to keep it out of your own personal space where you can.....social media can be very very depressing :-(. I'm not saying cut yourself off, but just be selective on which shows you watch and especially censor the news...I only ever get news from cnn or abc via the internet nowadays...commercial news is overdramatised and emotionalised.
Thanks for this!

Ive noticed that around me too. Not all people, but certain groups. I explain it by trying to keep in focus that a lot of people are trying to cope. Sex drugs and alcohol are one available means but definately not the healthiest. It appears to me that media (not only the news) is constantly pushing it at us, making it look cool. I get angry wondering how they think its helping anything . Havent we learned anything as a society yet?

There was a time when I had a neighbor that was all three - a drunk, druggie, and sex. He was not a real nice person. Thank goodness he is not there now. This is a neighbor downstairs from me.

At my complex that I live at people are not friendly. They pretty much stick to themselves. I wish I could make a friend at where I live.

I have been bombarded with other being being sick myself. I had some problems myself and that's what caused my health anxiety. I don't watch the news on TV anymore because it got too depressing. But still, on the net, there are articles that I can't miss about so-and-so being very ill. It would be someone who I thought was very healthy.
