It's 111 degrees where I am, in the Los Angeles area. All I can do is sit here and cry. I have an air conditioner, but it's an old window air conditioner. You have to stand right in front of it to feel any cool air. My poor cats are suffering, too. I HATE L.A. Heat I feel so desperate in this miserable heat, it feels like I'm going to go crazy. Cold doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I like it. But heat -- I can't tolerate it. Heat It makes me just want to die. Anything to get out of the heat. I feel like I'm in Auschwitz and I've been shoveled into an oven - with a lock on the door!

I never seem to be able to get enough money together to move out of Cali-f-ing-fornia. I've wanted to do that for years. Although, I know it's hot in other parts of the country. But at least there, it's hot for a little while and stops. This heat has been going on for weeks, and will last through October. The worst hasn't even come yet. Heat

I HATE HEL L .A.!!!!! Heat Heat Heat Heat

And people call this hellhole paradise. Gawd...

This is depressing and I am very sorry for you and your cats. I cannot even imagine. Syringe extra water into your cats daily. For you ice packs and laying in a cool not cold tub may help. Still Heat I would not want to live there. Can you find roomies and move? Or afford a/c? Just some idea, though they may be lame.

Yup the heat is something. my cat has very long fur so on these hot days he pretty much finds a cool spot and stays there for a nap then coes out for something to eat. I put cool whip bowls with water in them in the freezer and the next day I take the bowl out putting just enough water to wet and barely cover the ice inside. then I set the bowl down and as it melts my cat has fresh cold water all day to help heep him hydrated and cool. I have never had to syringe water into him but have on occasion wet a brush and ran it through his fur to de static electrcitize his fur because he moves and gets zapped at the same time. on my end its funny to watch but from his side of the fur he does not move on these hot days until the sun goes down unless I have wet him down. LOL

I think the heat has been unbearable all over the States lately! I know I had such a hard time with it here in PA!

Try to stay as cool as possible!
