Depressed again, and feeling rotten. All I've done lately is hurt people. I can't even find words to express the depths of my self-hatred. The gaps between depression and emptiness are filled with it.
I don't want to feel better either, because I deserve to feel this way. I'm a piece of slime.

I suffer with self hatred too and it's horrid but it is something that I am working on in therapy right now, I can tell you though Ultra you don't deserve to feel this way

On some level I think we need to be aware that our self-loathing comes from our depression.

How are you getting treatment for it, Buttercup? (I mean more what techniques is your therapist using?)

I am given homework in which I read on other ways to look at situations in which I hate myself and anger etc, It works too in some ways, I have been feeling a little better since seeing my new therapist.
Thanks for this!

I've been trying to look at my situation in different ways. I'm still at least 50% responsible for for how I feel, though. Which means I deserve to feel bad for my share of the problem. I call it, "taking responsibility for my actions, and finding out I don't want to be responsible for them".

You mean you are remembering things you have done that you perceive as bad?

You don't have to perceive them as bad when people have told you they're bad, but yes.

I believe people including myself with addiction and mental illness are NOT bad people trying to become good people......but sick people trying to get well!

I have no garantee that I even am ill, and I have no way to get a diagnosis. I may just be a person who wants to belong somewhere, even if it is with people who are ill. I feel fake.
