As per the title really. I am utterly tired of this thing called depression.
Today i went out and had a nice day with a friend. I felt good..but there wad still that horrible pit of misery that follows me everywhere.
I am sick of it!
I want to experience real fun, real joy.
I don't have a terrible life, certainly no real reason to be sitting here in tears, feeling distraught and utterly sad. There is no immediate reason for it.
I know that there WERE reasons, in my past, but i just want to feel OK
I am just so sick of feeling this bad.

I just need someone to hold my hand and sit with me.

Hi---

I encourage you to seek professional help if you have not. I'm suffering from depression and sought help from my psychiatrist. I'm taking a mood stabilizer that helps with depression. If you have a close family member or friend could they spend the night w/ you or come by for a few hours?

Best wishes

Hello, HealingTimes, and thank you for the thread. I believe that the things in the past that were reasons for being depressed are the things that you probably need to get out into the open with a private consultation with a psychiatrist.

Until we remove the unpleasant thoughts from our minds, they can still be effective
in causing us psychic pain. A good conversation and maybe a little medication
for a few months might help you to put behind you all the things that come up in
your thoughts that are bothersome to your feeling tone.

They do affect us that way, and there is so much that can be done to help relieve
that tension.

Please go in for a consultation with a psychiatrist and follow his/her advice about how to get yourself in a better feeling state.

Best wishes.

Being depressed is so exhausting. People don't know how much energy it takes just to keep stable. An enormous amount. Then on top of that you have function in the world.
I feel for you.
I think that getting enough sleep and getting enough protein can help with the fatigue. I noticed an upturn in energy when I started using protein powder. I'm vegetarian and found it difficult to get enough protein.
I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the replies, i really do appreciate it.

I am getting 'professional help' in the form of weekly psychotherapy, but i am not interested in taking any meds for my depression, i am trying to find other ways of dealing with the depression.

I am just so tired, so so tired of it all.
