Well, she loves you, Shery, and she'll call back if she feels that you were a little
"tipsy" when she called. I wouldn't try to call her about it; just let it slide and know that all is well that ends well. Then, too, you need to keep an eagle's eye on that drinking. It will drag you down like nothing else can, and it takes time to get it out of your system. Start drinking water, please, and keep it up until you have better feeling tone. Remember that alcohol just makes a problem worse and that anyone who has an intense craving for it should leave it alone, completely. It can get to be a habit for handling any problems, and that's when one can become dependent. Stay with your medications; if you need temporary help to improve feeling tone, talk to your psychiatrist, but don't drink, please. Take care, Shery. Everyone is here for you and we all understand family problems. |

Do you have an AA group you meet with. I go see them and talk about this experience. Being with people who understand you may take some of the fear and other bad feelings out of your system. Then it might be easier to talk to your daughter. You can tell her you've taken steps to be stronger. Maybe then she can accept you more easily.
I hope you feel better soon |
