Why can't things get better? I have to be around someone right now to be safe. I am having strong urges to hurt myself. I am afraid that even being around someone, I will still find a way to do something.
I am trying to hang in there, but it is hard. I am so wantingto give into these urges I am having but I promised my therapist I would not act on them. I see her next Tuesday. We did make a plan to stay safe when I am alone Wednesday. And I am going to try really hard to go a support group on Thursday. |

I'm sorry that you are having a hard time right now.
I understand how we can hit that place that makes us want to hurt ourselves. I'm impressed with how you are taking care of yourself by reaching out here and making plans for Wednesday and promising your therapist til you see her on Tuesday. Please do make it to a group Thursday. I know just getting out can feel overwhelming. Take it one moment at a time, like first you get dressed. Then take a break. Then you walk outside. Then take a moment to breathe. Then get yourself to the meeting. And feel wonderful for having made it there. Then share if you feel comfortable to do that. Keep reaching out. Sounds like you are doing your best to stay safe until your next appointment. I understand the urge to hurt yourself; I've been there. Keep up the good work, it will be worth it in the end. You can overcome this feeling, with help and sounds like you have a good support system. Hang in there.Take it one minute at a time.

Hi, its Wednesday, hope you have made it to today safely. Rohag has given you links to the crisis line and tips for other things to do other than self harm to help make it thru today. I know when I was desperate, I tried absolutely everything anybody suggested to make it thru. Spend 8 bucks on netflicks and pick a season or two of a comedy series you haven't watched yet and do a marathon session of tv watching. that will definitely take your mind off things. I recently watched all the seasons of arrested development. totally silly. so I hope you are taking care of yourself and not talking yourself out of group tomorrow. be well.
