I even feel like I am too depressed to even kill myself... Like the effort is too great... Would rather stand like stone and never move again.

Hello & Welcome, Hillsa. No energy, no initiative, know it well...

Once my psychiatrist explained to me that one of the paradoxical dangers of antidepressant medications is that in lifting (some) people out of depression, a certain small percentage of people will harm themselves when they regain a measure of initiative.

Please do what you can to remain safe and keep posting.

Please take the time to look up the helplines in your community. Make a list of the most important ones like the suicide phone line and put it close to your phone. If you get those dark thoughts call and talk to someone. Be safe.
I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. Depression is such a cruel disease. At least we can be here with you and let you know you are not alone.
At least open the curtains and let the light into your house. Don't sit in the dark, OK?
Thanks for this!

Hi hillsa,

I know that feeling all too well. Just know that you aren't alone and that it will eventually pass.

Hillsa,

I used to just lie in front of the TV. DO you go to T and/or a psychiatrist? Being on this forum is helping me interact with people. ALso calling the help lines help.

Hugs.
