This is a poem i wrote that decribes how I see depression in my life Depression Shadow Even though the sun is gone it is always at your door I try to hide from it but it still finds me where ever I go It doesn’t stop when I want it to even when I plead I try to make a bargain with it but all it does is take the happiness from me It gets bigger some days that I can’t hide it and people stop and stare It makes me conscious of it and it makes me more aware The shadow can change into any shape it wants Some days it’s a blanket that slows me down Other days it’s like a rain cloud on a sunny day Making mean and negative thoughts that won’t go away I hide in the shadows hoping it won’t look my way But it always invites it’s self to stay It’s got that evil grin that makes you know That it won’t be going away You push and shove it out the door But it crawls back looking for more It haunts you in your dreams at night It loves to watch you cry It takes pleasure in what it does to you inside You want those days when it wasn’t there You try to lock it in your soul but it only festers there You cry out why me what have I done to you It doesn’t care who it takes you by the heart and runs you to the ground It makes you feel even more down It creeps around so you know that it’s there Making sure that you are aware

Thats the first poem ive ever wrote. Just when you face something its easier to write. It speaks from the heart.
