Ok, this was not totally my idea. They have a thread like this in the BPD forum and someone mentioned that it would be nice to have the same thing in this forum (slightly paraphrased), so I'm kinda stealing the idea. (I hope I don't get in too much trouble)

Some of my songs:
Somebody That I Used to Know
These Dreams (Heart)
What About Love (heart, i think)
Old Man (Neil Young)
So Long (switchfoot)
Sooner or Later (Switchfoot)
Someone Like You (Adelle)
People Like Us (Kelly Clarkson)
Catch(ing) My Breath (Kelly Clarkson)
Just Give Me a Reason (P!nk)
Try (P!nk)

Anything from Nine Inch Nails, but I've been listening to NIN since I first become depressed at 13. However as of late I've been listen to a lot of The Downward Spiral and The Fragile, as I find these two albums truly encapsulate MAJOR DEPRESSION. Fun fact, after each of these albums were released, Trent had to do a stint in rehab.

On heavy repeat on my ipod:
-"Somewhat Damaged"
-"The Day the World Went Away"
-"The Frail"
-"The Wretched"
-"We're in This Together"
-"The Fragile"
-"Even Deeper"
-"Into the Void"
-"Where Is Everybody?"
-"Underneath It All"
-"Hurt"
-"Ruiner"
-"Mr. Self Destruct"
-"Eraser"

Not a song, but a composition for piano: John Cage's
(1951) - this excerpt is enough...

A few more I can think of as of now, but I'm sure I have a lot.
  • Games People Play & Old and Wise by Allen Parsons Project
  • Fountain of Sorrow by Jackson Browne
  • Send In The Clowns by Judy Collins
  • Vincent (Stary Stary Night) by Don McLean
  • Lay Me Down by David Crosby and Graham Nash
  • Variation of a Theme of Erik Satie by Blood Sweat and Tears
  • Just Too Many People and Midnight Blue by Melissa Manchester
To Shortandcute, Rainy Day Feelin' was done by The Fortunes and I Wish It Would Rain was done by The Temptations and Phil Collins (though two completely different songs).

Send in the Clowns, Vincent, and Midnight Blue are some of my faves, too. Thanx.
