Vienna Teng - My Medea

I don't know if I'm interpreting it the way the artist intended, but I'm the child and my problem is the one singing in the song. When she uses "I" I think of it as the depression talking. I'm held a prisoner, not allowed to leave, which in reference to my name, I am hidden away in the labyrinth. I can't show myself to the outside world.

Lyrics:
Inside the labyrinth walls
There lies a tiny child who sleeps alone
And as the daylight falls
The wind becomes so wild across the stone

For I have made her prison be
Her every step away from me
And this child I would destroy
If you tried to set her free

So come to me my love
I'll tap into your strength and drain it dry
Can never have enough
For you I'd burn the length and breadth of sky

For it's my thoughts that bind me here
It's this love that I most fear
And this child I would destroy
For I hold her pain most dear

No haven for this heart
No shelter for this child in mazes lost
Heaven keep us apart
A curse for every mile of ocean crossed

For I must die for what I've done
A twist of fate a desert sun
For I see what I destroy
Sweet reflection knife into me
For I see what I destroy
I can see what I've begun
Thanks for this!

Nickelback - How you Remind Me.

The lyrics that stand out the most to me are:

For handing you a heart worth breaking
And I've been wrong, I've been down,
Been to the bottom of every bottle

I don't listen to that much music anymore...and my memory is terrible, but I know there are a lot of songs that describe mine. Some I regularly listen to:

Metallica
"Fade to Black"

Trapt
"Overloaded"
"Living in the Eye of the Storm"
"Still Frame"

Skillet
"Dead Inside"
"Falling Inside the Black"

Linkin Park
"Somewhere I Belong"

Korn
"Alone I Break"

I wouldn't recommend listening to any of these songs.

I tend to find a song that I relate to, listening to it a lot for a few days or weeks, and then moving on to another song.

For a while, "Mad World" was my song, especially the Tears for Fears version.

Lately it's been the A-ha version of "Crying in the Rain", and "Lightweight" by Demi Lovato.
