I haven't been on a while but this time I need to. I thought my life was headed in an ok direction but now it seems to be going back to that place I don't want to be. My job is not going good an my anxiety gets in the way. I am currently going to a group therapy and it helps some but most days all I want to do is stay at home where I don't have to worry about what people think and I'm more relaxed there. I'm at a point in my life that I'm annoyed that I still don't know what i want in my life. Wishing when I was just leaving high school that I knew what I wanted. I'm ashamed that I quit college and ruined the chance to get someone where in life instead of looking for other jobs that will work with me since I done have much education or experience. Sometimes I just want to quit my job and apply for disability but idk if they do for people my age with depression and anxiety and I'm afraid that I will have to explain to people why. Just frusturated it feels good to let it out a little.

Hello, Lost in this world. You now have some post-initial education life experience, experience of the world and of yourself. Have you been able to develop any better vision of what you ideally would like to do? Is depression/anxiety still suppressing your vision?

For example, were you to develop a specific interest, could you mobilize yourself to seek some sort of further education? (I'm well aware, however, that depression greatly inhibits self-mobilization.)

I don't know what I want and that's what's bothering me

Hey there sounds like you're having a pretty rough time. If it helps any, most people don't know what they want. Hell, I don't know what I want and I'm paying exorbitant amounts of money to attempt to get through college and slowly failing so I mean lol. Ahem.

Anyway, I don't know if it's an option for you but community college or a small school can provide you with a 2 year associates degree if you're really feeling that bad about missing out on school. Or online classes and degrees. There are a lot of other ways to learn so please don't feel stuck

If you just don't know what you want to major in though that's a different sort of issue but looking through different programs in schools might help spark some interest!

Best of luck!
