I am feeling agitated today. I can't pinpoint a reason for it but I am experiencing a physical stress response. Tightness in my gut, shaking hands, hyperawareness. I can't settle down or relax and I feel this need to be moving constantly. There have been no changes to my medication and I was doing really well until this came and hit me out of the blue. I cannot call my pdoc till Monday.

My question is: has anyone experienced this before? And if so, what strategies do you use to ameliorate the symptoms?

I could really use some help, I feel like I am about to crawl out of my skin.

It sounds like me you're having anxiety. This is how it feels for me when I'm highly anxious. There's a lot of ways you can try coping, meditation is one of them or try exercising to burn off the nervous energy. You can also try some mindfulness skills

mindfulness tips

Hope you feel better!

Yes, it sounds like you are having an Anxiety attack. I know for me, all I can do is take medication and lay down until I calm down. When it passes, I'm able to get up and continue with my day. I never know what triggers are going to set me off, but I know that I feel the same way, like I'm going to jump out of my skin, it's a very physical response to anxiety for me.
Thanks for this!

Anxiety attack

I was given xanax for it but it wasn't successful.

Breathe deeply. If you can, have a glass of wine.
Running?

Hugs and hang in there...

And P.S. Mine were totally random....no warning signs, no particular situations, no triggers.....came outta nowhere....
