Sometimes I almost wish I could just go ahead and hit rock bottom so I could start over and get my life put back together in a positive way. I know this makes no sense.

I know it seems like you need to hit rock bottom first before changing your life but would skipping the hitting rock bottom part and putting life back together anyway work?

If you hit the bottom, the only way is up, right? Actually mental health is very much like that, like waves going up and down. I'm sorry you are feeling so low, please lean on us as much as you need.

I've hit bottom several times and after hospital stays was brought back to fight for my life. I just wish it would last. I really hope you don't have to hit bottom to get started on revamping your life. It can be done. Are you seeing a therapist? If not, it really helps to get your life back on track. We're hear if you need us.

I feel like I am at rock bottom. You really don't want to be there, trust me.

This is true. Why would anyone want to hit rock bottom? I feel like I'm getting close. I'm trying to hold off on the psych hospital because I can't afford it. I'm drowning in medical bills but I may have to do something soon. I don't know what to do anymore to fix my life.

Hitting rock bottom in the addiction thing can be good because it motivates you to get the help you need. With mental health I think we need to hit bottoms to initially reach out and get the help we need. If we are already getting all that help and still have bottoms, like me, it kinda sucks.

((((((Waterknob)))))).
Hitting rock bottom to start back up doesn't necessarily occur. You can hit rock bottom and just have a deeper much more concrete 'sadness' consume you and overpower you yet it won't effect a makeover.

I think my big issue is I am the main breadwinner of my household right now. There is a lot of pressure and stress on my job and everybody is watching everybody to see if they slip. Office drama is terrible. Oddly enough the one person somewhat looking out for me is the head doctor in the office. We have worked together a long time and he knows I am conscientious and that I try to do my best. I keep having a fear that the new management is trying to get rid of me. I ended up in an unintended conflict with one of the new companies workers yesterday. I want to seek mental health services or go to a psychiatric hospital but I fear that the minute I do that I will lose my job. Then I really will be at rock bottom. Then it will be time to put my life back together.

If the head doctor is looking out for you won't he be able to keep your job secure if you do need to go into hospital. I think hospital is better than the alternative tbh. Aren't there certain laws that protect your job when it comes to illness? (sorry I know nothing about this!) I hope things start to pick up really soon for you

I have no idea if he can help me keep my job if I go into the hospital. Some people at work have already pegged me as "crazy". The bad thing is the head doctor is not really in charge anymore. The administrators at the new company are. Thanks so much for caring.
