Since I have lowered my meds I find my mornings are a lot harder to get through. Does anyone else feel more depressed in the a.m. ?

(PS does the flash chat not work on Android phones? I cannot get it to work on mine.)

hi,
I think time of the day is not important. what important is that you need to fix your problem that is creating depression for you. However, if you let me know the real problem you are facing, will be able to guide more on the subject. thx

I don't know really. It depends I guess. Sometimes I feel better if I've gotten a lot of sleep(which rarely has been happening) other times it's just whenever or all the time.

I was never much of a morning person but I just find recently it has been much worse - harder to get up in the a.m. and then feel sad and stuff. Being way too introspective in the mornings lately .... just wanna get on with my day. I do eventually but for that period of time in the a.m. it gets a little too intense.

I have been giving this some thought; I think it is the day that my neurotic side is strongest, so I am going to try more structure - I need structure to get through the morning. Get up 6.00, switch on BBC R3, not BBC R4 which just makes me anxious, coffee/prepare breakfast 6.10, groom cat 6.20, wash/shave 6.25, eat breakfast 6.40, take meds 6.50, finish coffee & do teeth 6.55, water plants 7.00, make lunch 7.15, load briefcase/car 7.25, lock back door, switch everything off and leave for work 7.30, go back and collect forgotten phone, 7.33, leave for work again 7.35.

During my last period of despondency the first three or four hours were the worst part of the day. I usually cried for no apparent reason and felt generally out of it. My mood would lift after that and dip again before bedtime.

I've often found morning the toughest part of the day. I think that pretty common with depressives. Getting out of bed is often the hardest thing I do.

Mine seems worse now in am, on days whn I'm off work. If getting up to go to work, I seem to have diff energy. Whn off, its like I'm thinking too much about my life, issues that are currently causing anxiety and depression. I've even tried splitting my meds to twice a day***this med plan was approved by my psy md-don't rearrange meds yourself.it did helo some but mostlt it seems I'm moew depressed/fatigued whn I have too much thinking time...

When you change dosage, it takes a while for your body to adjust. If this keeps up, you might want to tell your doc about it.

When I am depressed mornings are the worst. I've never been a morning person, but it seems like my brain is unwilling to come around and function right.
