Two years ago I was diagnosed with mixed Major Depressive Disorder and anxiety. I have been dating my boyfriend for about 2 months now, both gay men, and things are going well. Lately I've been struggling with my depression. The last few days have been extra tough, getting out of my apartment has felt like putting up a barn. I was curious if anyone could share any advice on talking to him about what's going on.

Much love and thanks.

Welcome to PC.
Are you seeing a pdoc (psychiatrist) or a T (therapist). You might have him go with you to a session and have a professional explain the condition to him. People will usually listen much more to a third party professional much more than to someone they are emotionally involved with.

Also anything he can do to educate himself, like surfing this site. Tons of info here.
