I tend to feel lonely and depressed a lot. The reason is because I tend to feel alone and feel like no one really likes me and I am the last person anyone wants to be around. I tend to feel suicidal at times and wish I could feel happy again.

Welcome to PC
Many of here feel the same way and are in the same boat. Building a support network is important and here is a good place to start.

I know the feeling well, but have shaken it for quite a while now with medication (and detailed self-scrutiny!). But not out of woods yet - first therapy session tomorrow.

Hi Ryan, welcome to PC!!!
The feeling that no one really likes you and you're the last person anyone wants to be around................could that be more of a reflection of what you're feeling about yourself??? Depression can leave you feeling that you're worthless, but you know that seriously doesn't have to be the truth, right?? It doesn't need to mean that people actually feel that way about you. Or any chance that some of that the people around you aren't making much of an effort to let you know you matter, or to be there for you?? Maybe they're a bit absorbed in their own "stuff"?? Maybe they aren't realizing how you're feeling?? Maybe they're thinking that you're not that keen on them if the depression is stopping you from communicating with them as much?? It might be more about them- what they're not "getting"- than about you in that case. Are you getting any sort of support though?? Or anyone you can talk to about things?? Either way though, you're very welcome here ![]() Alison |

You are not alone. I tend to feel this way as well. A lot. I hope you are doing something for you, like therapy or medication management or both. I don't know what I would do without it. Just starting up with a new therapist but it's good to know you have that resource. That person to go to if everyone else seems busy. It sounds like you need that too. And there are even online services too if you live in an area where a lot of mental health resources are not available. Not saying you have to, just wanting to offer some ideas.
