Since the age of 14/15 av been suffering from a condition called idiopathic Angiodema ( means my throat tounge face hands feet stomach) can swell at any time and cause great stress and discomfort. I'm under a specilist for my care and she is great. With my condition it's triggered by infections stress or illness. A lead a normalish life going to work going out with friends going for walk et. up until May last year. When I was unwell with my swellings and started having seizures !! These were the last thing I needed. At one point I was having 2 a day. I was immediately started on epilepsy drugs but later found out I don't have epilepsy. But have terrible headaches / migraines that result in me taking morphine when there really bad. . I have a episode of migraines 2/4 times a week and the fits vary. If I'm tired or ill there more frequent.

hi maggiepot
it must be horrible to live this way, never knowing when your illness will act up. since it is brought on by stress I would look into practicing a stress free lifestyle. check out yoga, mindfulness and stuff like that and really get yourself in a good place so that you are able to tackle any kind of stressor that comes at you in the world so that you feel safe to go out and do ordinary things, welcome to psych central. you will find we have several forums where you can post about your concerns and receive feedback from other members. you will get a lot of support here. again, welcome

Welcome to the group. I hope you find it to be a welcoming place. Pain, especially chronic pain and depression are best friends in my personal experience so when one is bullying you the other is bound to join in on the fun. I am sorry it is so rough for you.

I have also found that focusing on the little things was helpful. I found this game called Superbetter for free online that helped me practice self care at my own pace while turning it into a fun experience (you create a character, level up etc.)

hope this helps

I get the feeling that you don't have confidence in your MDs. Am I right about that? The first thing I think of is that you need to find someone who truly understands what's going on with you physically.
