Wasnt sure on wish forum to put this in but ill just put it here.

Finaly finding out for sure im depressed and looking for all the ways i can help my self through it online was hard this month but once i got here i got alot of helpful tips and tools to get me in the right path.

I have a wuestion thought, is the sanity score accurate?
If it is then depression isnt my only problem seems i have some other things that i never heard off and im terrified, was bad enough dealing with depression alone now i have even more problems to worry about and no way to fix it.

Its not impossible i know that but its hard specially when you cant talk to anyone you know about it, wish just made me miss my best friend alot more went from talking to him 24/7 going to school together, gym and all that to not seeing or talking to him for a year and a half, i may not be able to talk to him about my problems but would have been nice having him around to keep me company.
Never celebrated my birthday befor ( my dad does not allow it) my friend gave me my first ever birthday gift when i was 16 and he probably doesnt know how much it means to me really miss him.

Not sure if this is best place to put this topic but just needed to vent and share with someone, and this site is all i have.

It's fine to put it here. Vent all you want. What other issues did the test say? Maybe some of them could be the cause of the depression? Don't worry to much about labels. Focus on what you want to change and how to change it.

I'm sorry that you are feeling so down. This site is a great place to have. Everyone has been welcoming and supportive, so feel free to post away. A community of caring individuals is here to listen.

Let me ask you this. Mainly because I am curious. There has to be other people in your culture who have depression and other problems. How does your society and culture deal with people who have such problems? Every culture has some way that they view it.

My cultures point of view on mental issues is either you're crazy and unable to function properly and are put in a hospital for the rest of your life , or if you have depression and such other mental issues and you still look and act somewhat normal you basically have to suck it up and deal with it.

I have another issue that is not mental and i will be killed by my own family if they found out , hence why im not very social and open to discuss things with my family.

I understand. Actually in the United States it wasn't that many years ago that it was viewed the same way. It still is by a large portion of people. Luckily it has changed a lot. In the 50's and 60's and before people were locked in State Hospitals and forgot about. If you had bad depression a family member took you in and you just stayed isolated in that home and cared for. You didn't get a diagnosis or any help other than the family fed you and put a roof over your head.

Having good support is a very crucial part of treatment for any of this stuff. If you can't get that at home and in your culture i would rely heavily on this site and other support sites. Not looking for magic cures but for support from people who have the same problems. Support is a big part of treatment.
