I just want to stay in bed all day and hide
I'm struggling and people can't seem to see it I don't have a purpose in my life, I have no job, no study, i'm not going anywhere... just living the same thing day in day out and I don't know how much longer I can deal like this ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Is there someone you can talk to and expalin how poorly you are feeling? Would you like to work or go to school? I am sorry that you are feeling this way. I am glad you found us. Please take care.

I find it hard getting a job that I like... I thought I had a good job going at the end of last year but then my anxiety levels went through the roof and I couldnt take it. I don't see where I can go at 23 with only supermarket and a bit of office skills. I'd like to get into aged care, and eventually nursing... but my future just seems like its going nowhere. I've been like this for 4 years now, just going from job to job.. the longest job I had in this time was 3 months... I feel so useless

Could it be that you have been in the wrong type of job? If you want to be in healthcare can you start to prepare to be able? I don't know what type of education you need but maybe you could take one closs at a time and eventually you will get there. Just a thought.I know how hard it can be too sometimes. Maybe just little by little. Good luck.

I like all the above suggestions and came up with another idea - visit a nursing home once a week (maybe you know someone that is in such care). Get you out of the house, maybe see if working with people healthcare wise is what you want to do? By the way I believe people can "see it" - they just don't know what to say or do about it. I remember 5 days before Christmas - I called my mom and told her I had been hospitalized twice (I kept it a secret from many) and that I needed to separate from my wife. She knew something was going on already. Just something to think about incase there is someone you can think of to reach out to - my mom was and continues to be really supportive - She knows about the anxiety, the depression, the possible BPD, the cutting. I avoided her call this weekend - I'm sure she is worried, so I'm going to send her a quick email...

Yeah I've been interested in working in aged care for almost 10 years now. I've just had beliefs that I won't be able to do it etc and finding myself in dead end jobs that I think thats all i'm worth. I'm not sure I have anyone I can really reach out to... my bf knows alot but it stresses him out and most of my friends are busy with their own things.. so I guess my main release is now on here!!

One thing you could do is call around and find somewhere to volunteer. I did this in my community. I went to an independant living community for elder people and all I did was visit with whoever was lonely and listen to their stories. I also helped some people in wheel chairs down to lunch from their room. These amazing people were so accepting and happy to have someone care. They encouraged me in my goals of college. Maybe there is somewhere in your area that you could do this?
