I can't eat anything, I feel depressed and everything I usually want sinks. Food itself makes me nauxious and I'm loosing a lot of weight. How can I save myself?
Id prefer to do away with myself rather than starve to death. |

I really hope you seek a doctor's advice about this problem. It certainly doesn't sound normal and a doctor needs to know what the root cause is. With the medicine that we have these days surely there has to be something that can take way your nausea. I am so sorry to hear that you are depressed as well. I certainly want you to ask for help rather than suffer like this. Depression is real and please ask for help for both of your issues.

Hi afeelingd, it sounds like you're going through a really hard time
![]() And I'd say getting some help with the depression is the priority here, and not just because it can radically reduce your appetite. So a great start would be to see your doctor (who might also be able to check for any medical issues which might be causing the way you're feeling inc. loss of appetite). For right now, you could be trying the high calorific drinks, but I'd say that the doctor is a must regardless. But now you're here ![]() Alison |

The first sign my depression is getting worse is loss of my appetite. I don't even consciously know it until I try to eat and my throat refuses to swallow. It can and does get better. Get to the doc ASAP. In the meantime you should eat or drink anything you can get down. I found pudding or jello easy to get down as you don't have to chew. Milk, shakes, Ensure, anything you can swallow easily.
I hope you feel better soon ![]()

My therapist just found out and she doesn't know what to do. I don't have health insurance and my family is poor so I can't just go to the doctor whenever I feel sick. I have been diagnosed with depression among other things though. I'm hungry but I can't eat or I just can't stand the sight of food. It's scaring me because I look paler than usually and I keep getting migraines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm sorry to trouble you. In response to your question, the cause of my depression is several different things. Bullying, my PTSD( from molestation), and my low self esteem. I really don't know how on earth medicine will help me. My family is in a rough spot so sometimes I just tell my mom I ate to save money but other times, I feel so sad that food disgusts me. Are there free clinics that could give me a prescription? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi afeelingd,
Managed to find you these links, I don't know if they will help but........... I Hate My Life Los Angeles, CA Free Clinics | Affordable Medical and Dental Clinics in Los Angeles County And I'm not sure if you could get help from the Patient Assistance Programmes.....although I'm not from the US so I might have imagined that, so check out the links first, hey?? ![]() And if it turns out there is nothing physically wrong........then maybe medication could help a little with the depression.......of course it's not a "cure" but maybe something to help you take the steps in your therapy towards better overcoming what happened to you and in finding/developing/using some (more?) coping skills??? And that doesn't need to mean you'd need that medication long term, as you're finding other ways/things that might work for you. But that would need to be down to a doctor to say if you needed anything or not.......just a thought. You might find the forums for PTSD and Self Esteem helpful here too, if you take a look. But glad you're with us. No giving up on reaching for help/support, hey??!! ![]() Alison |

This seems like this is tough for you. I'm sorry that you're having a tough time; there's nothing fun about stomach problems.

Hi afeelingd, don't know if this might be any more help.........found this link posted by "Anonymous24413" on here:
https://www.pparx.org/prescription_a...ating_programs There's another free clinic finder on there too. Although lots do work on a sliding scale according to income and you might only have to pay a very small amount if anything. Still if that doesn't help, there are lots of people from the US on here who might be a more helpful..........maybe ask in the "Insurances and Finance" forum?? But any "emotional" support I can give.........hey I might do better at that!! ![]() ![]() Alison |

I know exactly what you're going through all too well. I've actually started gaining weight again. The lowest weight point I hit was 97. I used to be at like 115. Now I'm back up to 105. Depression goes extremely hand in hand with appetite and eating and stuff. I hope you're feeling better soon. Just know you're not alone. It makes me feel better I'm not the only one either.
