I feel like a hampster in a wheel. I can't seem to get any better because I hate that my house is always a disater, but I can't get anything done because I'm too tired to get up and clean it, and I'm too tired to clean it because its such a mess!! It makes me too angry when I do start, I go on yelling rants (just like dear old dad), and I'm soooo pissed that my house has turned into my mothers. . .

I actually took a shower this morning and had intentions on starting in the kitchen. Well, look where I'm at, I'm in the computer chair (which is actually a step up from the bed watching TV). . .

Sometimes I think my children would be better off with their father but I don't want that to happen. I don't talk to anyone outside of my house (except when I'm at school).

I can't get my kids to join in supporting the household. when I try to talk to them, it turn into 'it's not my fault', 'he/she did it'. . . For the past 2 months (really since I quit taking meds. . I guess), I've just thrown my hands up.

Why do I always ramble?

Am I alone in my messy ways? I'm feel so shameful of my house and even admitting to it here.

(1st family session @ the school Tuesday; there may be hope yet)

Hey, me, too. After I tried to shoehorn the remnants of a 3-BR home in a 1-BR apt, I never really got completely straightened out. You are so right about the vicious circle --

It's messy because I'm tired, and looking at me makes me too tired to deal with the mess.

Grrrr.

Perhaps we need a Sloths Club.

Yea my bedroom is a mess ... I hate dirt, but I just throw clothes on the floor and work stuff on the floor half the time ... every couple of weeks I clean it up and then I just get lazy / tired.

Silly eh ...

I am so messy I hate to admit it. I go in cycles where I will whirlwind around picking eveything up and putting it away. I hate dirt but seem to cohabitate with messy. I am a sloth!

Haha.

Messy for me happens because I like ... have a LOT of clothes ... and sometimes I try on a few things before I decide what to wear ... and then I leave them in piles on chairs and things ... ooops I am a sloth!

having said that, my bathroom is spotless.

Well, I did get a lot accomplished today. One thing I do hate, if everything is way out of control, I always throw in a rearrangement with the cleaning spree. I don't know why, but it seems to make the clean up job easier or, perhaps, more tolerable. ???

I hope you treat yourself well, Frozenheart. Any effort you put forth should be rewarded. (((((Hugs!))))))
I'm a housecleaner by profession and by the time I get home I do not feel like cleaning anymore. Plus, I don't get paid for cleaning my house so there's no real motivation.
It can get pretty messy at times but then after about a week or two I get those ickies because of the dogs hairs, the dust and the rug having little pieces of whatever Aggie and Yummy decided to tear apart- and something snaps and I go on a cleaning rampage. It's good for another while until a mess builds up makes me snap again.
I hope you're okay. Be patient with yourself.

I can understand where you're coming from Pickle; I often find it easy and rewarding to help others clean their houses.

(((((A big 'Messy' hug)))))

I've been doing a bit better. I try to go to sleep and wake at scheduled times. I NOW drink coffee of a morning and make sure I hope into the shower (what a difference that makes). Of course, the odd perfectionist that I am, I'm still not statisfied with the appearance of my home yet but I'm determined to climb out of my messy ways!
