I have belonged to another site for about 6 months and have made some friends there. To make a long story short there was a thread by a person that is very very humorous in almost all of her threads so I even asked if this was a riddle. I didn't see anything so I made a humorous comment and all hell broke loose. It was serious about a sensitive subject! I also had made a comment in my journal that I thought there was some real cliqueish off-putting behavior developing on the site. Well what happened was I was the victim of a friggin witch hunt. Messages of how selfish I had always been, how mean and uncompassionate etc., and now I would be friendless and some were messages some were on the thread. It was relentless. These were people who had asked to be my friend. It was that feeling where there is something more going on than the facts at hand. It was primordal--THE WITCH HUNT. I left for good. But I am shocked. I am not usually the victim of such behavior and it makes me ill to see people assume the worst about me and suddenly see me as just this bad THING--where a few days ago I was just fine. Any insights or words of comfort are welcome. That was very very disconcerting to go through

I reported it but nothing happened.

You have no control over other peoples' actions. Sorry you felt 'turned against', I'm sure it's left you hurt and confused.

Hello Robyn.
Welcome to Psych Central. It is good that you have chosen to leave that site since there didnt seem to be much support in the form of safety for your disorder. Psych Central is a supportive Site so I hope you can feel safe in time getting to know others that come to the site often. Take care and good day. Soidhonia

The hard part was one of these really was a friend of mine and the others were so so. It was a primitive thing. That is what is so weird. That scapegoat insanity where reason totally flies out the window and you are helpless. It hurts and it is scary and at a very deep level.
