I don't know what is wrong with me I am so completely exhausted. Doing the least little thing wears me out. I did swim some laps today. Then I went to the dentist to find out that I have an abscessed tooth, which I expected. I have been down that road before.

I have been trying to distract my mind from the depression I feel. I don't get to go see the therapist again until July. I just barely feel like getting off the couch. I don't know if that is the heat or the depression. It doesn't help that it is 98 degrees outside.

I'm sorry waterknob I know how you feel. Depression can be triggered for no reason sometimes, maybe most of the time. It's a biological issue, you can't just "get over it", as someone has said once. It's okay though We're all here for you, we will all hold your hand (If there's enough spot left ) and make sure that you WILL feel better
Thanks for this!

Waterknob, it is completely understandable that you are exhausted. First, the high stress medical job and migraines. Then, the high stress second job. Now, trying to move forward when you are reeling from all the preceeding stuff. How about extra sleep, some exercise, and of course your counseling.
Thanks for this!

You understand just how I feel and just what I have been thru. My husband and I are going to the beach tomorrow and that will be fun. I am sort of relaxing and trying not to think too much. At some point I will need to find another job. I am trying figure out what I am meant to do in this world, and it may be time for going back to school. I have a life history of not finishing projects I start. It is time for me to be a "finisher" as the man from the unemployment office said. But I may need to restart with baby steps.

If you could study, what subject would you study?

This is something I am trying to figure out. The job I had that I enjoyed most was when I did income taxes. I am thinking something to do with business accounting would be cool. I remember in high school I wanted to be a social worker. I also love history but I don't see myself getting a job related to that. I wonder if I could take a career aptitude test. I took one online once and it pointed me to occupational therapy.

A career aptitude plan seems to be a good idea

I agree! Talk with anyone who is willing to help you.....friends, family, job office, employment staffing. Waterknob, you seem to be multi-talented. Have you had enough rest to gain back your self-confidence?

I've been thinking about this issue you're having. I was on bed rest, and couldn't sleep at all because I had no exercise and never got tired out. As nuts as it may seem, maybe that's what some of the problem is. If you're not doing anything, you're not getting tired enough to really sleep well, and since you're not really resting, you're tired. Perhaps you should try to exercise enough to really wear yourself out and see if that resets your sleep cycle.
