It's coming closer to a year now that I've been out of action. That depression finally beat me down. I've been looking back now thinking of the time that was lost, and how I want it back. I'm moving forward! I've taken many hits, but I hold on. I've learned so much about people and myself in this whole year.

I still have so many questions like, can I trust people, will I win, can I make it if this happens again, and will people understand. I have found out how people with mental illnesses are treated. I saw people that I thought where steady mountains fall into anger and confusion at me. I might have built to high of expectations for them.

I do want to let you guys know that I know how it feels now to be down. So down that it is impossible for me to even describe it to someone who has never experienced it.

A year has passed since my 0 hour. Lets keep fighting on!

That you are holding on is the really important thing. It takes great courage perseverance and true grit to do that. And you should feel good about this because it is so difficult to do in spite of all the great obstacles you have to encounter.
Since we cannot wind back the clock. Unfortunately the time that has gone past cannot be recaptured. But you can move forward.
We do have to take the risk of trusting people otherwise making friends would be impossible. Please God you will find good people to trust. And you will win with the determination to put every effort you can into getting better and reaching your goals. If it happens again. What got you well in the first place will do it for you. Every time. People do encounter setbacks and it is important to identify why this happens so that it can be avoided in the future. And your coping strategies will bring you back from setbacks again.
It is sad to see people you saw as mountains collapse before you. It could be that having never experienced depression. They don't understand it and didn't know how to help or because they simply were not the mountains. They seemed to be. Indeed, there is no doubt that with persistent unrelenting effort you will win. I really hope and pray you do. Take care. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis

Hello TheLifeFantastic, congratulations on keeping your determination after all this time. This is what will get you through. I find that often the people I think will be supportive may disappoint me, (sometimes my hopes may be unreasonable) but I also find that encouragement can come from unexpected quarters. Hang on in there, you are strong and brave, that is how people get through.
