The future looks bleak-
I' ve sabataged yself. Even if things go well, I don't know about having to do all the mundane things you have to do as you get older- I don't want a car, I don't want to add to the pollution- which is only getting worse- I'm slowly dying from the pollution and acidic water on a daily basis- Having kids just adds to the excess and overpopulation- and if I were to have them I don't know if I'd always be a very fit parent- though I've been told I'd be a good parent I just don't like the idea of all the things tht comes with life. Not anymore. registering your car, having to find a job to make moneyjust to survive, feeling empty with no friends or family close by, feeling useless and stupid, too many wasted years. feeling more and more inadequate socially (though I was just feeling do energetic and social in more recent days) Maybe I just need a good nap- I havent't slept much the past few days and I'm super tired and got some bad news ( http://forums.psychcentral.com/addic...tal-loser.html) this morning that doesn't help things. I've felt like this though before(even when I'm in a good mood), like I've surpassed my life expiration date and there's nothing left for me Like I keep missing all my good chances out of sheer stupidity . . Life is stupid, and people suck. I suck. ![]() Maybe I'll feel better later, IDK Sorry if this triggered anyone . . ![]()

Hi Angstylady
I have felt that way. Also from time to time. But then, having a strong religious belief has always meant that I will always with God's help go on. If you decided not to. It would totally destroy the lives of your loved ones and you really don't want to do that. Perhaps having the medication looked at would help. Are you in therapy? That can give you really good skills for managing depression and anxiety. It is a matter of programming ourselves to use them in response to symptoms. There is Nami the organization for the mentally ill you can Google them. Contacting them would reveal whether they want their peer to peer support groups in your area. It would also provide the opportunity to make new friends. There may be mental health drop-in centers where you live. Also. I do think we all need a consuming purpose to go on. That could be a charitable cause that attracts or reconnection with something that fired you up in earlier times. That would allow you to make life more meaningful and satisfying, and you would be making a difference.. Certainly keeping the mind occupied. doing especially enjoyable things distracts from feeling bad. Setting small easily achievable goals builds confidence that things are coming under control. I hope and pray everything gets much better for you soon. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis |

AngstyLady, I feel your pain. There have been times regardless of my age I just felt everything I did turned to compost. Sometimes the best thing one can do is just let go, go for a walk, watch a movie, drive the car, ride a bicycle, take a hot shower, eat a pizza or ice cream, call a friend on the phone, take a hot shower, love up the cat or dog or take a nap. Just distract yourself from your own mind and you will come back refreshed with clarity. It works for me, hasn't failed yet. Other things I cannot change are different.

I find life is not an option. We have to live what we are dealt with. The beauty of it is we can select what we want to remember and what we choose to forget. Make peace with your past then bury it behind you, move forward. Funny, just as I want to live medically I am challenged with diseases that make you die. It just goes to show, we are not really in control of our lives. The one who made us is. Just be good to yourself. That I find for me is not caring what others say about me or believe, it is who I know that I am and being at peace with that. Hope that helps. Blessings...
