New Wellbutrin Problems....

I don't know if there is a special board for meds or not, I couldn't find it.

I had posted that Wellbutrin was giving me stomach issues. After three weeks, I finally got over it. Switched from Cymbalta (hated side effects - Wellbutrin has less) about a month ago.

Deep dark depression started creeping up on Sunday/Monday, even though I was busy. Now I haven't slept for two days (I used to have insomnia back before SSRI meds and anxiety - I just forgot about it.)

The not sleeping is awful - I am exhausted and cannot do anything, yet my body is completely awake. Then, last night during my movie marathon (can't concentrate to read or do anything), I started itching, BAD. Finally took Benadryl - helped after a couple of hours.

Had appt. with pdoc anyway today, but called this morning and said there is no way I can drive without sleep for two days (I also take Klonopin and Neurontin in the evenings, so I am having the effects of them without sleeping). He is supposed to call me back, but I have not heard from him yet.

Does it sound like Wellbutrin and I just don't get along? It's sad, because I love it without the side effects, but the depression is worse than the side effects, I guess. Either way blows.

My sister had terrible itching with Wellbutrin and she discontinued. The drug didn't work for me at all. My doctor tried to prescribe Paxil along with it last month but I've heard too many negative things about Paxil. I'm having trouble finding a drug that works without the side effects as well.
