Ok, it's been a while since I've been on here. And it's just not getting any better. Would love to feel numb, but no. Only thing I can think of that I have to look forward to is when it's over and they bury me. But I have to stick around to make sure my husband, who has Alzheimer's is taken care of.

I'm really sorry grey mouse. I don't think I have anything to offer because I'm not in a great spot either, but I wanted to make sure I replied to your post and say that I noticed you and am thinking of you. I commend you for stepping into the caregiver role. I know it's like, "Well, of course I would!" but actually, in my line of work, I see a lot of instances where that isn't the case. And I know it's not easy...so I commend you.

I'm so sorry greymouse, caring can sometimes mean you don't have time to look after yourself too. I have great respect for anyone caring for someone with dementia, I have seen it too at work and it is a demanding job which some people can't even face doing. Kudos to you.
I too wanted to post to say I have heard you and I want to send any sense of care or warmth your way. I know no answers but you deserve a hug (a safe one) ...take your pick(s)
