Has anyone had any experience with (freely accessible) online CBT packages? E.g. MoodGym
Did you find them helpful? Have you accessed CBT or other types of therapy in person?

I have been using moody gym for a couple of weeks ,I like it but i am stuck on some workbook Item that will take time . I have a psych treating me for depression but not really therapy, just drugs and a short talk . I have been in extreme nervous state for 7 weeks . My depression is a little better ,anxiety is high still.
I have been viewing Claire weekes on you tube , really impressed with her talks. She makes a lot of sense . She was very renown for her works worldwide .
I see my psych in a few days ,I am going to lead into the things she talked about .I am going to layout what traumatic event triggered me an my ongoing fight with it . How I became mentally and physically beat down to over sensitivity and hopeless thinking . .
She does not believe in Freud type stuff for this she stresses facing your fear by completely accepting it with out reacting back, stopping the cycle of anxiety followed by fear and ramping up in a circle . And floating thru it letting it go, saying it doesn't matter it won't harm me . I guess she was a leader of cbt therapy they say .
I am still working on my nervous ills . Good luck .

I did CBT a while back, and followed it up by using MoodGym about a year later. CBT was useful, and using MoodGym was helpful as a refresher. I found CBT in general more helpful for anxiety than with my mood, but that's just me, and it was definitely worth doing.
