Hi M Blau, have you tried one of the hotlines listed in the forum? They can help get you through a rough spot or lead you to the help you need. Getting help for yourself will be the best thing you can do for your nine year old.

Remember the people on the hotlines are just that... People. If one isn't helpful try calling again to talk to another.

I don't like talking on the phone and therefore I don't like the hotlines, but last time I felt I was in crisis I tried Crisis Chat at CrisisChat - Home and found that very helpful. Someone there did the online message with me for quite a while and helped me get out of the house and helped me get through a really bad weekend.

M Blau,

Welcome to PC, you are not alone.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your desperate despair!!
Such darkness feels intolerable.

I really recommend the helpline suggestion.

I have had a lot of help from my country's helpline The Samaritans. That are there day and night and will listen or just be with you until you feel a little stronger.

Posting here is good too, although the replies take a little longer to come through.

People here have helped me through some dark times and I hope you get as much encouragement from this community as I have.

welcome M Blau,

yes, i agree with what's said. you should try the helplines

you should also think about therapists if you've not done so all ready. they can help you talk through the issues.

maybe a med ajustment might help too

hope you're doing okay
Thanks for this!
