Just as the title says, I just want to know how you deal with those things, because I am close to a breakdown. Just very desperate, that's all. I am afraid that I might do something stupid.

The Skeezyks is no longer on antidepressants nor does he see a therapist. He keeps to himself & strives to implement the Buddhist practice of Compassionate Abiding... If you are in danger of harming yourself, Clapper, please reach out for help in real life...

Nothing particularly good. At best I go to therapy and try to find meds that work.

I used to have a close friend that I relied on a lot probably too much to be a healthy friendship. We are still friends but don't talk about my issues much as it is too much of a burden on her to cope with along with managing her own issues.

Somewhat healthy I cry to get an emotional release.

I used to sleep but family and work prevents me from using that as an escape. I do miss those 16 hour naps full of dreams that make me forgot life.

I distract myself successfully sometimes. Video games or something that occupies my mind so I don't think of all the bad things in life that I usually do.

The most unhealthiest is self injury. When I get too overwhelmed to cope I do that which has its own set of problems and mental instabilities it causes.

My pets, volunteering, self awareness, sometimes aromatherapy. In the past, therapy and Prozac

Mindfulness helps me with the anxiety and DBT "Emotion Regulation" has been helping me with the depression keeping the anxiety from starting.

Walking and fresh air for overall improvement and maintenance of wellness.

Square breathing for intense anxiety.

When thoughts race I yell "STOP!" in my head or out loud if I am alone. With the DBT stuff I find that mindfulness works better for me.

Look up DBT or Dialectic Behavioral Therapy on Google.

Good luck.

How long have you been practicing Compassionate Abiding? I'm very interested in the practices of Buddhism but when I Google, there is so much. Where would be a good place to start?
