I am not feeling good today. Just very tired, sad, and most of all, very very lonely.

So sorry for your sadness. I'm sad today too. I haven't felt sad for a while because my depression got so bad, I decided to give Ketamine treatments a try, after much research. I have been taking treatments occasionally for the past 2 months. They have removed my depression and suicidal idealizations that I'd have for over 10 years (even on meds and weekly psychological sessions). But it's been almost 3 weeks since my last session and I cam feel the dark cloud of my severe depression closing in around me again, like an old friend. Thankfully, I have another session on Tuesday.

Enough about me. I don't know your situation, but I feel so sorry for the pain you're having. Hopefully, you can be proactive to ease your sorrow with positive ways to sooth your senses. If it's pretty outside, go out and sit for awhile and breathe in the fresh air, or even better take a short walk. That will change your mood, guaranteed. Or take a bubble bath, or watch a good tv show. Light some candles. Color. Read something to help your wisemind. Brush your dog or cat. Turn on some music and hum along. Chat with others who can relate and can help. You are not alone. And if you are truly 'alone' in your world right now, rely on friends like us to fill the need for companionship. We truly care. I do this because I am lonely too, and find great comfort in chatting with others who understand. I hope you feel better, Metalchick!! take care!! xoxox
Thanks for this!

I am very alone in this world. I feel like I am the only one with no friends to turn to. When I did and opened up to them, every last one turned their back on me. I don't blame them, I mean really who wants a friend that is never happy...At lot of responses would be but you have a house, car etc. You have no problems, you should be happy. But IDK, something inside me keeps me from happiness. I wish I felt better. I wish I never feel like this again. I really hate myself and hate my life.

These are valid feelings, just know you really aren't the only one. I don't know a soul outside family. Nowhere to really turn other than anonymous boards. Know the feeling, you're not alone.

And material possessions or having your stuff together isn't a precursor for happiness. Depression doesn't care about any of that stuff. Try not to beat yourself up too much. Nobody chooses those feelings.

What do you do when you feel this way? Do you turn to your family? I have no one nearby.

I usually just settle in with some good music and try to write it out somehow. Just something to occupy the hands/mind. I'm sure different approaches work for different people. There are people out there that will have you as a friend regardless of how you feel or what you're diagnosed with though. Guess we gotta try not to give up hope.
